KORKUT had already been integrated into the inventory of security forces in its tracked version and has also achieved export success. The KORKUT operational architecture consists of three Weapon System Vehicles operating as a team and a Command and Control Vehicle responsible for coordination and the integration of command-and-control functions. The system employs a twin 35 mm cannon with a rate of fire of 1,100 rounds per minute and an effective range of up to 4 kilometers. Effectiveness is further enhanced by the use of ASELSAN-developed 35 mm ATOM ammunition, capable of neutralizing a wide range of threats, including combat aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, UAV swarms, air-to-surface missiles, and even ballistic missiles in certain phases.
The ATOM 35 ABM and ATOM 35 I-ABM variants, featuring higher particle density, were designed to counter contemporary aerial targets with a higher probability of kill. The stabilized turret enables accurate firing even while the vehicle is on the move, while target acquisition is performed by a three-dimensional search radar, complemented by a fire-control radar and electro-optical sensors integrated into the tracking platform.
